Choosing the Correct Solid Rubber Wheel

When choosing a solid rubber wheel, check the wheel diameter, wheel width, bearing size, axle size, hub width, load rating and the floor surface where the wheel will be used.

Solid rubber wheels are suitable for many general handling applications, but they may not give the same shock absorption as pneumatic wheels or the same floor protection as some polyurethane or thermoplastic rubber wheels.

Replacement Solid Rubber Wheels

If you are replacing an existing solid rubber wheel, compare the outside diameter, wheel width, bearing type, bearing inside diameter, hub width and axle size before ordering. Similar-looking wheels can have different bearing sizes or hub widths, which may prevent the wheel from fitting the existing trolley, cart or equipment frame.
