The 75 mm GR Series Plate Brake Castor is a grey rubber trolley castor designed for light-duty handling equipment, mobile display units, workshop trolleys, service carts and general replacement applications.

This castor forms part of the GR Series Grey Rubber Castors range. The GR Series is commonly used where a practical, cost-effective replacement castor is needed for lighter equipment that must move easily and still be held in position when required.

This 75 mm plate brake castor is suitable for applications where the equipment needs to move, swivel and then be locked in place. It is often used on smaller trolleys, shop display units, light workshop equipment, utility carts, mobile stands and replacement castor jobs.

This model uses a swivel housing with a total brake. The swivel action helps the trolley or equipment turn and maneuver, while the brake helps hold the castor in position when the equipment is not being moved.

A brake castor is useful when the trolley, stand or display unit must remain stationary during loading, use or storage. For better control, many trolleys use two swivel castors with brakes together with either fixed castors or plain swivel castors, depending on the layout of the equipment.

When replacing an existing castor, check more than only the wheel diameter. The overall height, mounting plate size, hole centres and load capacity must also be compared before ordering.

This product has a 75 mm wheel diameter, an overall height of 98 mm, a 60 x 60 mm mounting plate and 45 x 45 mm hole centres. These measurements are important because they affect whether the castor will fit the existing trolley or equipment without modification.

The listed load capacity is 50 kg per castor. When calculating the total trolley load, include the weight of the trolley or equipment plus the goods being carried. For regular movement, uneven floors or impact loading, allow a safety margin instead of working at the maximum rated load.

If you do not need a brake, compare this product with the matching GR Series swivel or fixed castors. If you need a larger wheel, higher load capacity or a different wheel material, view the wider Castors range or the Trolley Wheels and Replacement Wheels category.

If you are unsure whether this 75 mm GR Series Plate Brake Castor will fit your trolley or equipment, compare the wheel diameter, overall height, plate size and hole centres with the castor currently fitted.
